Block Move

Matches that were postponed last Saturday, due to the weather, will be moved to Saturday 14th February, under Regulation 13.3.1c.  Note that it says "Fixtures should be played no later than this date." That means teams may play it earlier, if they agree a different date with their opposition & Div Sec by 20th January (Regulation 13.3.1a).  As ever, correct date, time & venue must get to GMS.

14th February is in the half-term holiday for most schools in the Area.  Please consider availability across the club, not just team-by-team, on February half-terms - if it's lower, arrange for some matches to be played earlier, especially your lower teams, so you have scope for moving players up.

Any fixtures not moved from 14th February, & not played due to a shortage of players, will lead to penalties under Reg 14, as usual.

Matches on Sunday 12th January are subject to the usual rearrangement protocol under Reg 13. See below:

Rearrangement Procedures

A reminder that there are different procedures for rearranging this season:

a) If a game is postponed, let the Div Sec know, ideally via e-mail.  You can't mark it as postponed on the GMS, the Div Sec will do that.

b) The matches MUST be played on the NEXT League Reserve Date after the originally scheduled date, whenever that is, unless a team already has a match then (Regulation 13.3.1a).  So any matches that didn't get played on Sunday 12th January will be moved to Sunday 25th January.

c) Please circulate the remaining League Reserve Dates in your club.  You need to be able to field teams on those dates, so tell the players when those dates are & ask them to make themselves available.  This should make life easier for all clubs, as they have a few dates to ask players to be available for, rather than asking for availability for a range of dates at the time.

d) If a team has a match on the next League Reserve Date, teams can agree a date within 36 days (7 weeks) of the original date (Regulation 13.3.1b).  That's a fixture for the team itself, junior fixtures do not count.

Sunday Matches

Clubs are expected to field sides on all League Reserve Dates, including Sundays.  Junior competitions take priority on Sundays - for junior players.  We still expect adult teams to play on Sunday League Reserve Dates, & other Sundays, where necessary.   Where adult teams have a match, juniors should be playing in the junior competition, & the adult team should call up other players, as necessary to fill a team.
